Jody Horn, 6th Degree Black Belt, Master Instructor Candidate
Jody officially began his ATA career in 1993 but started training in martial arts the day he was born. His father, Randy, a Paragon Black Belt, had Jody doing stretches and front kicks before he was a day old. So, it could be said that Jody was born to kick. That experience and decades of training have paid off with going undefeated in sparring for 2009, an invitation to train at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs and three ATA World Champion titles. Jody is widely respected as one the elite martial artists in the ATA. If you go to one of the over 1500 ATA clubs and schools, they have most likely heard the name of Jody Horn.
Jody helped start the Evergreen school plus three other Paragon locations and continues to be a driving force in Paragon’s success. Although Jody has achieved so much in his martial arts career, his first priority is helping his students reach their martial arts goals. Talk to any of his students or the parents of his students and you will consistently hear how Jody has improved the lives of his students.
Instructor Notes:
When Jody is not teaching Taekwondo, he can be found at one of beautiful Colorado ski resorts. Jody is an avid snow boarder and believes the fastest way down the mountain is straight down. Jody is also one of a very few people who have escorted both Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee and Grand Master S.H. Lee down the ski slopes in Colorado.
In the summer of 2010, Jody will have the honor of becoming the youngest Master in the history of Songahm Taekwondo. This prestigious honor is a testament to Jody’s dedication in Taekwondo and the guidance and direction of Master Hauptman.
