Paragon Evergreen

Emma Horn, 4th Degree Black Belt

Emma began her martial arts career at the age of 7 at the first ATA Black Belt Academy in Evergreen, Colorado with Mr. Horn in 1996.  By age 10 she had achieved the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt.

Emma join the Paragon Leadership Team under the direction of Master Hauptman soon after.  Joining Leadership sparked an appeal that was unparallel to anything Emma had ever done before.  She realized Taekwondo was something she would do the rest of her life.  Paragon Evergreen has moved locations three times and Emma has continued to train and teach throughout these moves, making her the longest Evergreen student.

She has received the Paragon Instructor of the Year award three times and is a five-time Colorado State Champion in forms and weapons.

Not only is Emma an athlete, but she is a martial artist and with that comes great responsibility.  She has a responsibility to not only her training but also to her students and her school.  She has overcome many personal obstacles and has helped grow the Evergreen school to its current numbers, by being out on the floor teaching, conversing with the parents, and keeping the office in check for Mr. Horn.  The Paragon Evergreen School has turned into more than just a Taekwondo school, it is a family.

Instructor Notes:

Emma has three adopted siblings from Korea, two little brothers and a little sister.  Both her brothers, Xan and Kwon are Paragon Black Belts and are working toward their second degrees.  When not at the Taekwondo School, she is either at home with her family, skiing on the slopes of Colorado’s top resorts, or studying to complete her Bachelors in Business Marketing.
